Hamas delegation to take in Cairo dialogue
Palestine-Egypt, Politics, 2/26/2005
The Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas said yesterday it will take part in the inter-Palestinian dialogue, due in Cairo on March 15.
A Hamas spokesman said a Hamas delegation will take part in the dialogue which is aimed at rearranging the Palestinian internal front and stabilizing efforts towards concluding a truce with Israel.
No decision has yet been taken on the participation of a delegation from the movement's command in the Palestinian territories, the spokesman said, adding that this depended on security conditions and a guarantee of the team's return to the Gaza Strip.
He lashed out at Israel for failing to commit to meeting Palestinian demands, including the release of all Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails without discrimination and halting all forms of Israeli aggressions.
If Israel did not release the prisoners and halt its aggressions on the Palestinian people, all response options would be open, he added.
