Israeli threats to the Palestinians to retaliate to Tel Aviv explosion: 50 Israelis killed, injured

Israel has threatened to resume its military operations against the Palestinians. This was in retaliation to the Tel Aviv suicide attack operation in which four Israelis were killed and other 50 injured.

The Israeli minister of the interior Jadoun Ezra said that "Israel has no option but to resume operation unless the Palestinians control the security situation."

The Israeli defense minister Shaoul Mofaz will hold today a meeting with his senior security advisor in order to discuss the way of retaliating to Tel Aviv operation.

The Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon was quoted as saying that Israel can not accept this situation. He called on the Palestinians to take serious steps to fight what he called terrorism.

The spokesman for the Israeli government said that the Palestinian authority failed in facing what he called terrorism, saying that it is premature to define the effect of this attack on the agreements to halt violence. Agreement which were finalized in Sharm al-Sheikh between Israel and the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

The Israeli authorities said that one Palestinian has detonated himself inside a night club in Tel Aviv, a short time before midnight, noting that number of killing in the explosion is expected to increase as 20 of the injured are in grave situations.

As the explosion took place, the Israeli security forces started a vast mopping operation in search for young Palestinians suspected to have taken part in the operation.

News reports in Palestine said that the Israeli security sources expected that Palestinian suicide bomber who carried the attack to have come from Toulkarem in the West Bank.
