Three American soldiers killed, 8 injured in explosion north of Baghdad

Three American soldiers were killed and other 8 injured in a bomb explosion to the north of Baghdad on Friday. The American army said that the soldiers were on an on-foot patrol in al-Taremeyah area when the explosion took place. Thereby losses of the American forces in Iraq increased within 24 hours to 6 killings.
An earlier American military statement announced the killing of one American soldier during what was described as a security operation in al-Anbar governorate on Thursday. The American forces admitted the killing of two of its soldiers earlier.
On the other hand, one Polish soldier and two Iraqis were killed and other 4 Polish soldiers and other 15 Iraqis were injured in a traffic accident that took place on Friday in al-Dewaneyah to the south of Baghdad.
Eight persons were killed including two gunmen, one soldier and one policeman in various attacks on Friday in al-Naba, Sameraa, Beiji, Baqouba and Karkouk to the north of Baghdad, in which the Iraqi army said that 27 suspected persons were arrested in attacks, while the American forces continue operations in al-Aqlaneyah in al-Anbar governorate.
On the other hand, the interim Iraqi government announced in a statement it arrested two aides for Abu Musab al-Zarqwi including his driver in breaking in operations in Ana city to the west of Baghdad.
The statement added that Taleb Arsan and Laman al- Duleimi, known as Abu Quteiba and Ahmad Khaled Ismael al-Rawi known as Abu Othman who works as a driver for al-Zarqawi were arrested.
Also the Iraqi government said on Friday that it had arrested one aide for al-Zarqawi called Muhammad Najm Ibrahim in Baqouba in Deyali governorate to the north of Baghdad where he was leading with his brother a cell launched attacks against the Iraqi police and killed several Iraqi citizens.
