Workshop to encourage Syrian tourism

Syria's Minister of Tourism called on Tuesday to open horizons of cooperation with Austria as to merchandise a common tourist product between the two countries.
In a word at the opening of the Syrian-Austrian Tourist Workshop Sadalla Agha al-Qalaa pointed out to the need to prepare investment rules saying the ministry is currently organizing to hold the investment market for tourism scheduled to be convened next April in Damascus.
Austria's Ambassador in Damascus Karl Schrmek expressed Austria's readiness to exchange expertise with Syria mainly in the tourism and publicity domains.
About 23 tourist offices from Austria as well 45 Syrian tourist bureaus and representatives of the Tourism Chambers Federation and the Syrian Airlines are taking part.
The workshop comes to enhance and invigorate cooperation in the field of tourism and to make Austria's tourism sector be briefed on the Syrian tourism products as well to make presentation of the technical tourism components as to encourage Austrians to come to Syria.
