Lebanon confirms the Palestinian right to return support

Lebanese President Emile Lahoud stressed Wednesday his country's supporting for the Palestinians' "right of return" which is implied in the 194 UN resolution.

"Lebanon has been calling for implementing 194 UN resolution since its release and still sticking to it," Lahoud said in a statement read by Lebanese Minister of Communication Jan Louis Obeid the opening of the second conference of the Palestinian refugees' right to return.

Lahoud underlined Lebanon's refusal to all bids aim at settling the Palestinians refugees in Lebanon, asserting that the right to return is sacred for the Lebanese people as much as it is for the Palestinians so they will never give it up.

For his part Jewish Rabbi Aharoun Cohen condemned the Israeli acts against the Palestinians, expressing hope to realize a solution that guarantees the Palestinian people his legitimate rights. Cohen, who is the chairman of Natoli Karta group "opposing the Israeli racism" assured that it is illegitimate to establish a state at the expense of other people's rights and sovereignty. "We wish that the Zionist system will fall apart," he added.
