Qaddoumi: Resolution 1559 contradicts UN Convention

Chairman of Fateh Movement's Central Committee Farouk Qaddoumi on Tuesday considered the UN resolution 1559 as a violation of the UN convention. "Resolution 1559 is an intervention in the internal affairs of a sovereign country," Qaddoumi said during a meeting at Ain Hilweh Refugee Camp near Lebanese southern city of Sidon.
On Palestine, Qaddoumi stressed importance of resistance and steadfastness against the Israeli occupation to regain freedom and establish their independent state. "Israel dismissed all agreements that call it to withdraw from the occupied lands, stop building the racial separation wall and improve human conditions of Palestinians," the Palestinian official added.
