Lebanese leadership response to American European warning

In retaliation to the statement of the western leaders who also called for an international investigation on the assassination of Rafic Hariri, the Lebanese foreign minister Mahmoud al-Hammoud considered that international investigation means cooperation between the UN and the Lebanese judicial authority which assumes investigation in the case.
Worthy mentioning that France played a key role to the issuance of the UN resolution 1559 which calls for a Syrian withdrawal from Lebanon. Lebanese ministers accused the French President Jacques Chirac of provoking the Lebanese opposition after the assassination of the former Lebanese prime minister.
