More attacks in Iraq

Attacks and explosions continued on Monday in various parts of Iraq. In Baghdad, an American military vehicle was exposed to an attack by explosives in al-Doura quarters and this resulted in damaging the vehicle.

Simultaneously, a strong explosion was heard in Baghdad but the source was not specified.

News reports said that three trucks were burnt and one of its two drivers were killed as gunmen intercepted it and opened fire on it in al-Azeem area to the north of Baqouba. One security source said these trucks were transporting goods for the Iraqi army.

These developments came at a time when the American soldiers and the Iraqi forces held inspection points and imposed curfew as from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. (local time ) in al-Ramadi city and its surroundings to the west of Iraq.
