Tripoli for more cooperation with Cairo

The Libyan leader Muammar al-Qathafi yesterday discussed with Egypt's Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif in Cairo means to strengthen co-operation between Cairo and Tripoli in all domains.
Qathafi started a three- day visit to Egypt with summit talks on Thursday with President Hosni Mubarak on all regional and international issues of mutual concern as well as bilateral relations.
Mubarak and Qathafi will meet again today for concluding talks before the Libyan leader returns home.
Gaddafi and Nazif began their talks with, tete-a-tete followed by an expanded meeting, attended by delegations from both countries,
ΚΚΚ Following the meeting, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Trade and Industry Rasheed Mohammed Rasheed said the Egyptian-Libyan talks tackled cooperation in the fields of investments, trade, electricity grid, energy and potential fields for Libyan investments in Egypt, especially in tourism and industry.
The two sides also discussed means to increase the volume of trade exchange in the upcoming period, he said, noting that a trade customs agreement will be signed by the two countries soon.
Rasheed added that the talks dwelt on upgrading transportation between Libya and Egypt as well as a protocol of criteria requirements for products.
Later in the day, the Libyan leader met separately with Minister of Defence and Military Production Field Marshal Hussien Tanatwi and Minister of Interior Habib Al-Adly for talks on bilateral relations.
