Lebanon-Germany, Politics, 2/19/2005
German MP Jamal al-Qaresli stressed Friday that all evidences indicate that there are international powers, which hate Lebanon, and are involved in the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafic Hariri.
"There are outside powers willing to pour oil on fire in order to isolate Lebanon and deviate its track which is based on the Lebanese national unity as well as its Arab identity," Qaresli said in a statement.
He also underlined that the same powers also want to exert pressure on Syria because of her pan Arab stances in the region.
Qaresli called for all Lebanese People to be aware of and careful for the current critical stage that Lebanon and the whole region are passing through.
"The assassination crime should be an additional motive to develop the Lebanese national unity," he concluded.
