Qaddoumi accuses superpowers behind Hariri murder

Senior Palestinian official rejected on Thursday the involvement of any Arab party in the "ugly crime" of killing Lebanese former Premier Rafic Hariri, pointing out rather to great international powers.
In statements to journalists after meeting Foreign Minister Farouq al-Shara, Chairman of the Central Committee of Palestinian Fateh Movement, Farouq al-Qaddoumi, said great international powers were behind the large technology that was used in this criminal accident.
"It might be that Arab traitor fingers have contributed in the accident but there is no Arab party .. so let us be careful for what happened," Qaddoumi said. He underlined Palestinians keenness on Syria and Lebanon because "damaging their security poses as hurting the whole regional security and we are in struggle with enemies of this nation." He called the Lebanese to avert disputes and riots warning that what is happening might affect the Palestinian cause and noting that Lebanese should not exchange accusations.
Qaddoumi said his meeting with al-Shara was due to the need of making an Arab concordance over all issues before the forthcoming Arab summit.
Foreign Minister Farouq al-Shara, expressed in his meeting with Qaddoumi Syria's applauding of any effort exerted so as to lessen the Palestinian people's suffering and allowing them to restore rights of sovereignty, independence and return as well the building of his independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
Al-Shara noted to the importance of national unity and dialogue among various Palestinian factions due to their being the cornerstone to cement the Palestinian position against standing challenges.
