Egypt, Politics, 2/17/2005
A Senior Western Diplomat in U.N. headquarters in Vienna said the annual report was issued by International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on the Egyptian nuclear program showed that the nuclear materials and facilities in Egypt inspected by IAEA matched the activities which Egypt had informed the IAEA of it previously.
The source referred to the international inspectors who didn't find any evidences proving that Egypt possessed a nuclear weapon.
The source also said that the remnants of plutonium and Uranium which were found by the inspectors in one of the Egyptian research reactors was a result of an equipment in the reactor.
The source stressed that Egypt deals with the IAEA transparently and is committed entirely to the NPT.
