Invetsigations of Hariri's assassination
Lebanon, Politics, 2/17/2005

Special Peace Envoy of the European Union, Marc Oti, on Wednesday expressed confidence that the Lebanese authorities will certainly figure out the responsible party for assassinating the former Lebanese prime Minister Rafic Hariri.

"What matters now is finding the suitable situation to prevent repetition of what had happened previously in Lebanon," he added.

For his part US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, William Burns, said that the United States condemned the Hariri assassination, hoping that serious investigations by the Lebanese authority will submit responsible of this crime to justice.

On the other hand, Lebanese President Emil Lahoud underlined that investigations of the Hariri assassination will take place soon to uncover all its surrounding condition particularly the way that the Hariri convoy was attacked.

"Lebanon may ask for some international technological experts to participate with the Lebanese officials in revealing the ambiguity that surrounded the convoy explosion," he added.
