British interest in Libyan oil

"The Secretary of the National Oil Company met Sunday morning in Tripoli with the Lord Mayor of the Business City of London, Michael Savory, and his accompanying delegation," currently on a visit to Libya, The official news agency JANA reported yesterday.
The report said "Michael Savory confirmed during the meeting the keen interest and desire of British oil companies to work in Great Jamahiriya in various oil fields and their readiness to exchange experiences with the Libyan oil companies in explorations, drilling and various oil industrial fields."
For his part the Secretary of the National Oil Company "made particular reference to the results of the first round of the public tender related to the blocks offered for investment in fields of exploration and drilling on oil in various Great Jamahiriya's regions last January," according to the report.
Discussions on ways of cooperation between the National Oil Company and the British oil companies and exchange of expertise in exportation and oil industries were discussed the report said.
