Turkmani: need to look at roots of Terrorism

Syria's Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, and Minister of Defense Gen. Hasan Turkamni on Saturday said "Solving the issue of terrorism should be through recognition of its roots and reasons behind this phenomena not through the direct military confrontation."
Following the opening of the Gulf Defense Conference GDC held on the sidelines of the International 7th Defense Conference and Fair IDEX 2005, Turkmani underlined that his visit to the UAE aims at participation in the Conference and consultation with the UAE officials on many issues of common interest.
