Former UN SG criticizes selectivity in implementing UN resolutions

Former UN Secretary General Boutros Ghali on Sunday said selectivity phenomenon in implementing UN resolutions contradicts the UN Charter which calls for putting into force all its resolutions.
Ghali, in a statement to SANA correspondent in New Delhi, warned against pretexts taken by U.S.A to interfere in the internal affairs of the member states of UN, describing this situation as a big problem facing the UN and its credibility. On the UN resolution 1559, Ghali said the issue should be solved by an agreement between Syria and Lebanon without any foreign intervention.
