Four American soldiers killed to the north of Baghdad

The American army announced the killing of four of its soldiers on Sunday, three of them were in a traffic accident while the fourth was killed in an armed attack in Samera to the north of Baghdad.

The American forces explained that one American base near Samera was exposed to fire and this resulted in killing one soldier and injuring others. The American army also said that three of its soldiers were killed and other five injured when their armored vehicle collided in Balad area to the north of Baghdad.

To the north of Baghdad also, one senior officer in the army was killed in an ambush that targeted his car and resulted in killing two of his escorts. Other 8 Iraqis were killed in various attacks, six of them are to the north of Baghdad while one Iraqi translator working with the Italian forces was killed with his son in al-Nasereyah to the south of Baghdad.
