Lebanese official: Why is Israel never pressured to apply international resolutions?
Lebanon-Syria, Politics, 2/12/2005

Lebanese Environment Minister Wiam Wahab on Friday highlighted the significance of dialogue among all Lebanese sides as well the coordination between Syria and Lebanon in all issues that concern the two states.

"Lebanese National Plenary Meeting asserted commitment to al-Taeif accord and resistance," Wahab said in a statement.

Wahab welcomed the UN Secretary General Special Envoy Terji Roed-Larsen in which he said " The reference regarding topic of the Syrian-Lebanese relations is al-Taeif accord and the fraternity and cooperation treaty."

Meantime, Lebanese Minister of Justice, Adnan Addoum said "The Lebanese people who respects the international legitimacy and its resolutions, rejects the UN Security Council resolution 1559 to damage the basis of the joint living, the national charter and the fraternal agreements between Syria and Lebanon." In an interview to TL, Addoum emphasized that it is impossible to apply one decision and ignore the other decisions relevant to the Arab-Israeli conflict.

"Why Israel rejects all international resolutions and no one urges it to put them into effect?'' Addoum inquired.
