Accelerating the process of free trade negotiations between Gulf states, Pakistan
Gulf-Pakistan, Economics, 2/12/2005

Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have agreed to accelerate negotiations between the Gulf member states and Islam Abad in order to establish a free trade zone. The two sides hope to reach the agreement within few months.

The two sides also reached the drafts for two agreements in order to enhance trade partnership on investment insurance and avoiding double taxation.

Meantime, the parliament in Pakistan is embarking on studying the issue of illegal migration of the Pakistanis whose number is increasing especially in the Arab Gulf states. This, however, came after disclosing that ten Arab states had evacuated 24,000 Pakistanis during the three past years because of their illegal stay in these countries.
