Egypt, US step closer to free trade negotiations
Egypt-USA, Politics, 2/10/2005
Egypt's ambassador in Washington Nabil Fahmy said that Egypt and the United States are stepping closer to launch official negotiations to enter into an agreement to set up a free trade zone, declining to name a date for these negotiations.
Addressing the US-Egypt Friendship Society in Washington, Fahmy said that he expects the negotiations for a free trade, once officially launched, to be tough but would not stay for long thanks to understanding between the Egyptian and American sides over negotiable issues.
