Poland eyes energy cooperation with Morocco, Polish official
Morocco-Poland, Economics, 2/10/2005

Speaker of the Polish Senate, Longin Pastusiak, said in Rabat Tuesday, his country wishes to extend trade relations with Morocco to include energy.

Pastusiak was speaking at the end of a meeting with Moroccan Prime Minister, Driss Jettou.

The Speaker of the Polish Senate, who is leading a large delegation of MPs and businessmen to a four-day visit to Morocco, had earlier deplored that bilateral trade barely exceeds US$ 100 million a year.

The Polish delegation discussed means to boost economic cooperation at a working session with MPs of the Moroccan Commission for Finance, Equipment and Regional Planning and Development at the Chamber of Advisors (senate).

The Polish Businessmen and their Moroccan peers agreed Tuesday to conclude a partnership agreement on textile and steel.
