Continued clashes in various parts of Iraq

Attacks and explosions in various parts in Iraq continued on Wednesday during the past hours, the last of which was the announcement made by the American army in a statement that one of its soldiers was killed in an armed attack at an American vehicle in Musil to the north of Iraq. The statement said that the attack took place on Sunday giving no mention why announcing it is so late.

In Samera four members of the Iraqi police were killed and other two were injured in a bomb explosion in one vehicle in the downtown of the city situated to the north of Baghdad. In Balad district near to that city, the American army announced that it killed one gunman when trying to implant an explosive on one of the roads in this area on Tuesday evening.

Meantime, the foreign ministry of Croatia announced that a Croatia bus driver was killed in an attack that targeted a procession of vehicles transporting equipments for the American forces in Iraq in the outskirts of Tikrit to the north of Baghdad.

In Basra, one official source announced that unidentified persons killed on Wednesday Abdul Hussein Khazal, the correspondent of the American al-Hurra TV channel and the director of the press services office in the city, after they opened fire at him while he was leaving his house.

In Karkouk to the north of Baghdad, gunmen detonated the gas pipeline from the fields of this city to Beiji refinery to the north of Baghdad. One oil official said that the attackers used missile shelling in blowing up the pipeline in this area. This is the second time in which this line is attacked within three days.
