al-Shara confers with Larsen
Syria-UN, Politics, 2/8/2005
Foreign Minister Farouq al-Shara on Monday expressed regret that some international decisions have become a factor for tension instead of preserving the world's security and stability.
Reviewing negative impacts of the UN Security Council No. 1559 on situation in Lebanon with UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Terje Roed-Larsen, al-Shara said " The international community nowadays is demanded to adhere to decisions of the UN charter and to avoid selectiveness regarding implementing the international resolutions." Shara and Larsen also reviewed latest developments in the region.
