Al-Assad meets with Egyptian FM on developments

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad on Sunday morning received Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Abu al-Gheit. During the meeting, Abu al-Gheit delivered President Assad a letter from the Egyptian President Mohammed Hosni Mubarak on efforts exerted to put an end to the Palestinian people's suffering in the occupied territories.
The letter also dealt with the main steps that should be taken to enhance the Palestinian national unity and the Palestinian attitude in the Peace process. President Assad stressed the importance of achieving the just and comprehensive peace in the region and the necessity exchanging views among the Arab parties concerned.
