A strike in a prison to the east of Sudan

Some 25 detainees in a jail to the East of Sudan started a food strike in protest of their continued detention without trial after they had taken part in a demonstration of protest against the Sudanese government.
One student activist said that the detainees decided to continue their strike after the security forces handed them to the police and addressed them with certain accusations.
On Saturday, the Sudanese security forces confronted a march in port Sudan and this resulted in killing 20 person and injuring other 40.
Since then, the state security forces held scores including Abdullah Mousa Abdullah, the secretary general of a political party in Sudan, called al-Naja conference, that had carried out certain operations against the government to the east of Sudan.
