Iran's ambassador denies any interfering in Iraq

Iran's ambassador to Syria categorically denied on Wednesday talks about Tehran's interference in Iraq and said Iran is keen on Iraq's unity.

"We totally deny that Iran is interfering in Iraq. Iran is therefore keen on Iraq's territorial integrity as well Iraq's sovereignty and stability," Iran's ambassador Mohammed Reza Baqiri told a news conference in Damascus.

On the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution victory in Iran, the ambassador hailed the Syrian- Iranian ties of friendship and cooperation saying they have always been developing in the interest of the two peoples and countries.

He stressed that ties between Syria and Iran are based on mutual respect and they have been working to spread peace and security as well stability in the region and the world in addition to their call to the dialogue of cultures not clashes.
