Fuel shortage is the first reason behind crash of Sudanese plane
Sudan, Local, 2/4/2005

The Sudanese authorities have attributed the fall of the Russian- made shipping plane ( elushion type) in al-Haj Youssef area to the north east of Khartoum to drastic shortage in fuels, according to lt. gen. Ibrahim Ismael, the director of air operations in the Sudanese air forces. The incident resulted in killing all members of the plane crew composed of seven persons: 6 Russians and one Sudanese working as a translator.

Witnesses detailed the stages of the crash of the plane which came from Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates, heading for Neyala city in Darfur. Witnesses said that the plane collided twice with the ground before it blew up and part of it were burnt in the third collision.
