Iranian official and Iraq's sovereignty
Iraq-Iran, Politics, 2/3/2005

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hamidreza Assefi stressed Wednesday Iran's adherence to the Iraqi people's sovereignty over their land.

In a statement published today, Assefi called for establishing a national Iraqi government that ends the occupation and opens the way for the Iraqis to rebuild what had been destroyed during the war.

"The wide participation in the Iraqi election is an obvious message reflects the Iraqi people's will of ending the occupation all over their landÉ the Iraqis are able to make their self- destination themselves away from the occupation," Assefi said, pointing out that all of the neighbouring countries stressed Iraq's stability and unity.
