Rafsanjni and relations with Syria and Lebanon
Iran-Lebanon, Politics, 2/2/2005

Chairman of the Iranian Expediency Council Hashemi Rafsanjni on Tuesday stressed the necessity of boosting the cooperation and solidarity between Syria, Iran and Lebanon and supporting the Palestinian people.

Rafsanjni, during a meeting with Lebanese Defense Minister Abdel-Rahim Murad, said "We appreciated the struggle of the Lebanese resistance against the Israeli aggressionsÉ we reiterate Iran's moral backing to the Palestinians and Lebanese to restore their occupied lands." The Minister criticized the international silence over Israeli flagrant violations of the Lebanon's sovereignty, expressing appreciation over the Iranian support to Lebanon.
