Al-Thawra: Syrian olive oil to Australia

Syria has carried out a contract of exporting 4,000 tons of cotton oil seeds produced by Aleppo Oils Company to Australia.

"The first shipment has been sent according to the contract which renewed annually and it came within the framework of the company's efforts to open new exporting markets," director general of the Aleppo Oils Company Zeyad al-Sabagh said in a statement to the Syrian daily newspaper 'Al-Thawra' published Sunday.

The director pointed out that the company two years ago began to export to Egypt and other Arab states.

Sabagh stressed that interest in improving the production in quantity and quality is continued through caring about packaging for the bottles and works of renewal and replacement of machines.

"There is a plan to automate production lines to reduce the irrational spending as well as to lessen cost of production," Sabagh added.
