Sweden expels one Libyan diplomat

The Swedish foreign ministry announced yesterday it had expelled one foreign diplomat, the local press said he is Libyan, suspected to have spying activities against the Libyans living in Sweden.

The Swedish daily "expression" said that the diplomat was collecting information about Libyans who are nominated to receive political asylum in Sweden.

The spokesman for the ministry Yan Yanonyous said "I can confirm that the diplomat was asked to leave the country and that he had actually left."
