Abbas's tour starts from Jordan

In his attempt to enhance his internal gains, chairman of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas, met in Jordan with the Jordanian king Abdullah II, starting a tour which will lead him to Egypt, Russia and Turkey.
The Jordanian king commended Abbas stressed the need of seizing what he called currently available opportunities to proceed forward in the peace process. Abbas had also met with the US under secretary of state William Burns and and demanded after the meeting Israel to declare a reciprocated ceasefire as soon as possible.
