Voting for the Iraqi elections starts in Australia

Iraqis eligible to vote headed to the ballot center in Australia today to cast their votes in the first general elections after the fall of the Iraqi president regime Saddam Hussein.
The Australian authorities imposed security measures described as ordinary around the election committees which subjected the voters to inspections before casting their votes of fears of any explosions. Number of Iraqis abroad presumed to take part in the elections is estimated at 280,000, deployed in 14 countries.
