Burns speaks about comprehensive peace in the Middle East

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for the Near East William Burns on Wednesday said that his country is committed to achieve comprehensive peace in the Middle East.
Burns pointed out, in a statement following his meeting with President Hosni Mubarak of Egypt in Cairo, to the American and Egyptian determination to help the Israeli government and Palestinian authority to resume negotiations among them. Burns stressed that there is an opportunity to revive negotiations and expressed his support to the adopted steps by head of the Palestinian authority Mahmoud Abbas.
