Al-Assad starts a four-day visit to Russia

Syria's President Bashar al-Assad and his wife arrived on Monday evening in Moscow in a state visit to the Federal Republic of Russia.
Russian Minister of Nationalities, Vladimir Yakovliv, and Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister, Alexander Soltanove, with Russia's ambassador in Damascus, Rober Markaryan, and the Syrian ambassador in Moscow, Wahib Fadel, were in the presidential reception as well as heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions in Russia and representative of the Syrian community there.
An official reception is scheduled to be held tomorrow in the Kremlin palace to President Assad in accordance with diplomatic traditions for senior guest of Russia.
An official delegation is accompanying President Assad in his four-day state visit to Russia including Foreign Minister Farouq al-Shara, Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources Ibrhim Hadad, Minister of Economy and Trade Amer Lutfi Husni, Deputy Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Dawoud Rajha and Syria's ambassador in Moscow.
