Two men injured in clashes in Ein al-Helweh camp in Lebanon
Lebanon, Local, 1/25/2005

One man and one child were injured as a result of fire exchange in Ein al-Helweh camp, situated near Sidon city to the south of Lebanon.

News reports in Beirut said that the clashes took place after the forces affiliate to the Palestine national liberation Movement ( Fatah) in the camp confronted an armed group calling itself "Jund al-Sham " ( the soldiers of al-Sham) tried to attack the military security official of the movement.

The reports added that calm overwhelmed in the camp after Fatah movement official in Lebanon Sultan Abu al-Einin, and the Palestinian groups issued a statement broadcast via the mosques of the camp in which they demanded all sides to cease fire and resort to calmness.

Observers say that "Jund al-Sham" group is an extremist Islamic group, whose members are not living in Ein al-Helweh which is considered the largest Palestinian refugees camps in Lebanon.
