Truce continued in Nouba mountain

The Sudanese government and the southern rebels of Sudan agreed to continue the mission of the International observers who supervise the cease fire in Nouba mountain.
The commander of the mission Gen. Filhilmsen said in a press conference on Wednesday that the ceasefire mission was extended for other 6 months, adding that the mechanism of the agreement signed since two years can be applied on other areas in Sudan.
He explained that no confrontations took place between the two sides since the implementation of the cease fire, adding that this experience will be submitted to the UN to make use of it in other area.
He indicated that this success led to doubling the number of citizens in the region from 720,000 to one and a half million in addition to the resumption of life.
