Kidnapping of chief archbishop in Musil

Unidentified gunmen kidnapped chief archbishop of the Catholic church in Musil city to the north of Iraq. A spokesman for the Vatican considered the kidnapping of Rev. Bassel Georges Kasmousi as a terrorist act.
The spokesman called immediately for the release of Rev. Kasmosi but abstained from mentioning any details on means and where he was kidnapped and the reason behind his kidnapping.
Worthy mentioning that Rev. Kasmosi ( 66 year old) belongs to the Syrian catholic church, which is a branch of the Catholic Church. Christians in Iraq are estimated at 3% of the total number of the Iraqi population estimated at 26 million.
