Kuwaiti Islamists deplore violence
Kuwait, Politics, 1/17/2005

Islamists in Kuwait with their different attitudes deplored the acts of violence which took place in Um al-Heiman and Houli area against the Kuwaiti security forces.

"The social charitable societies" which include all Islamic trends in Kuwait announced solidarity with the government in order to confront what the statement called criminal acts.

The statement which was issued on Sunday in Kuwait described these events as "riots which are only beneficial for the enemies of Islam." Worthy mentioning that Islamists in Kuwait enjoy good relations with the government, but the liberal trends try continuously to hold Islamists responsible for these incidents demanding the authorities to stop their activities and societies, but still no response is made by the government.
