King Juan Carlos pleads for close Spain-Maghreb relations

King Juan Carlos of Spain pleaded, in Madrid, Thursday, for close relations between Madrid and "peoples of the Maghreb" in 2005, thanking immigrants for their contribution to the progress of Spain.
Speaking before the diplomatic corps accredited in Spain, the Spanish sovereign said the summit scheduled at the end of 2005, to celebrate 10 years since the launching of the Euro-Mediterranean process of Barcelona, will "give a new impetus to this collective effort."
