King of Bahrain establishes a ministry, appoints second woman minister

The king of Bahrain, Sheikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, has made a ministerial reshuffle which is the first since the last reshuffle of 2002, according to which he established a new ministry for social affairs and introduced two new ministers.
The royal decree stated to appoint Fatimah al-Baloushi, dean of the faculty of education at Bahrain university as a minister of social affairs to be thereby the second woman in Bahrain to join the government after Nada Haffaz who was appointed in April 2004.
The governor of Bahrain monetary establishment ( the central bank) Sheikh Ahmad Bin Muhammad al-Khaleifa was appointed a minister of Finance and national economy in succession of Abdullah Hassan Seif who was appointed as an economic advisor for the prime minister of Bahrain Sheikh Khaleifa Bin Salman al-Khalifa.
The royal decree stated that the minister of state for foreign affairs Muhammad Abdul Ghaffar will assume in addition to his post, the ministry of information in succession of Nabil al-Homor who was appointed as a media advisor for the king, a post which he had filled before he was appointed a minister of information in 2001.
The minister of municipalities and agriculture Muhammad Ali al-Satri was appointed a minister of justice. The two ministries of industry and trade were merged into one ministry chaired by Hassan Dakhrou while the minister of trade Ali al-Saleh was appointed as a minister for municipalities and agriculture.
The King of Bahrain also issued a second to appoint two consultants for the prime minister. They are the former minister of justice Jawad Salem al-Areed as a legal affairs advisor and the former minister of state for the prime minister Muhammad Ibrahim al-Mutawi as an advisor for cultural affairs.
