Iraq produces 2.4 million barrels of oil daily

The Iraqi minister of oil Thamer al-Ghadban said in a press conference on Thursday that Iraq's average production of oil reaches 2.4 million barrels daily and this will be increased if what he called "destruction attacks" are halted.
Al-Ghadban added that the Iraqi oil pipelines was repeatedly exposed to more than 200 "destruction operations" in 2004 at an average of one or two operations every day.
Iraq imports Benzene and gas from Saudi Arabia and Syria. He said his country's imports from the two states are $200 million monthly.
