Damascus is the headquarters of Arab Parliament

Syria's ambassador in Cairo, Youssef Ahmed, on Thursday announced Syria has been chosen by Arab Foreign Ministers to host headquarters of the upcoming Arab Parliament.
In a statement to SANA correspondent in Cairo, Ahmed said this was in the draft project presented by the Arab Foreign Ministers during their extraordinary meeting in Cairo.
The extraordinary meeting of Arab FMs presented to the forthcoming Arab summit the draft project of an Arab parliament for five years to be as a paving step to build the permanent Arab parliament.
