Garang thanks Qathafi for peace role in Sudan

Libyan leader Muammar al-Qathafi received a cable of gratitude and appreciation from John Garang, the head of the Sudan People's Liberation Army SPLA, for Libya's role in the reached peace agreement, a report by JANA said yesterday.
Garang is reported to say " It's pleasure to convoy to your excellency that we and the Sudanese government have reached a final comprehensive peace agreement after tough years of war and negotiations in which you have always been the most close to us than our neighbors, in terms of standing with the aspirations of our people for justice, liberation and building of the new Sudan. Your effective solidarity and participation had profound impact on what we have reached"
