A new Somali government chaired by Jeidi was appointed

Somalia's prime minister Ali Muhammad Jeidi has announced the formation of the new interim government, just one month after the parliament had toppled his previous government by a no-confidence memorandum ratified by the majority of the Parliamentarians.

In statements to journalists in Nairobi, Jeidi explained that the government includes 47 ministers and 42 deputy ministers, most of them are members in the previous governments with the exception of slight changes.

With a vast majority, the Somali parliament failed the first government formation proposed by Jeidi in the first of December 2004, just ten days after its formation as the parliamentarians considered it "illegal and does not honor the principles of just share of the authority among the five main tribes in the country."

Worthy mentioning that all Somali provisional commission which were established during the past months as a result of peace negotiations are taking Kenya as a headquarters because of the absence of security in Somalia.

The civil war which has been taking place in the country since the collapse of Seyad Berri regime in 1991 resulted in killing 500,000 persons.
