18 Iraqis killed in Musil, intensive American deployment

The American army has announced the killing of nine of its soldiers in the southern of the capital Baghdad and al-Anbar governorate in three different attacks on Thursday.

In the most recent attack, seven American soldiers were killed as they were in an armored vehicle when one explosive went off on the sideline of a road to the north west of Baghdad on Thursday evening.

In a later development, another statement by the American army announced the killing of one American marine in al-Anbar governorate to the west of Baghdad to be the second man killed in the governorate which includes the two cities of Falluja and al-Ramadi on Thursday.

Four Iraqi soldiers were killed and five civilians injured in various attacks that took place on Thursday in each of Sameraa, al-Daloyea, and Beiji to the north of Baghdad coincided with the celebration of the founding anniversary of the Iraqi armed forces.

The Iraqi forces also announced finding the body of one Iraqi translator working with the American forces in Makhoul area to the west of Beiji to the north of Baghdad.

In Musil, the police announced it found the bodies of 18 Iraqis near one American military base after they were shot in their heads.

In a later development, news reports said that the bodies of three Jordanian drivers were found on Thursday near al-Ramadi town to the west of Baghdad. A statement was found near the bodies of the three men said that they were providing supplies to the American forces near Haditha city to the west of Iraq.

Unidentified persons on Thursday killed the official in the Iraqi communist party Hadi Saleh, by strangling him by an electricity wire in his house in Baghdad.
