Abu Zeid denies water war in Nile Basin

Egypt's Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mahmoud Abu Zeid denied categorically a possible war among the Nile Basin countries, pointing to the current cooperation among these countries to benefit from the Nile and reduce quantities of waste waters.
On the other hand, Abu Zeid in press statements, said President Hosni Mubarak during his expected visit to Toshka soon, will see several achievements.
The Minister added that his Ministry had drawn up some plans controlled by a clear-cut water policy to meet needs of the Egyptian people. He praised the good quality of wheat and fruits cultivated in Toshka where about 25 kinds of grape are cultivated there and exported to foreign markets.
