Iraqi minister of the Interior: Accusations against Damascus are irresponsible

Iraq's minister of the Interior Falah al-Naqib told his Syrian counterpart Lt. Gen. Ghazi Kanaan during their meeting in Tunisia on Sunday on the sideline of the meeting of the Arab ministers of the Interior that the accusations made by the commander of al-Najaf police recently against Syria "are irresponsible."

SANA said that the Iraqi minister stressed during the meeting to the accusations launched recently by commander of al-Najaf police Lt. Ghaleb al-Jazerri towards Syria are irresponsible and baseless," noting that "the commander of al-Najaf police was transferred to another place in Baghdad as an introductory measure to sack him."

Al-Jazeari had stated that one of the three suspected persons who were detained after the aggression in al-Najaf admitted that the Syrian intelligence played a role in the explosion which took place on December 19 and resulted in killing 52 persons.
