Some 15 persons were killed in Iraq

Attacks and explosions continued in the past hours in various parts of Iraq. The areas situated to the north of the capital Baghdad was the stage for many attacks and this resulted in killing 15 Iraqis including four members of the national guards and injuring other 20.
In Beji two Iraqis were killed and other 4 injured in a bomb explosion that targeted the national guard in this city. Two other Iraqis were killed when they tried to cross an inspection point for the national guard in al- Seneyah village to the north of the same city.
In al- Sherqat, four Iraqis were killed working with the American forces at the hands of unidentified gunmen in this city.
Three members of the Iraqi national guards were killed and other nine injured in clashes and blowing of a bomb in a patrol in the downtown of the city. In al-Mutasim area to the south of the city, two Iraqis were killed and a third was injured by the fire of the American forces and one Hummer vehicle was damaged in a bomb explosion. One Iraqi woman was killed and other three injured in a bomb explosion on the road linking Baghdad and Balad.
In Baqouba, a Major in the Iraqi national guard was killed when gunmen opened fire at his house. In Baghdad two trucks carrying supplies for the American army on Baghdad's International airport.
In al-Amara to the south of Iraq, one bomb went off in a British procession and one car was damaged before the headquarters of the British forces which was attacked by mortars of unidentified attackers.
Meantime, in a statement the American army announced the death of one American soldier because of his wounds he had as a result of an attack by a booby trapped car in Musil on Wednesday. A booby trapped car went off today in one American procession in al-Yarmouk quarters in the downtown of the city. No casualties were reported. On Thursday the city witnessed violent clashes in which 25 gunmen were killed by the fire of the American forces.
