American forces decided on Musil clashes by warplanes

News reports said on Thursday that the American forces used F-14 and F-18 warplanes to settle a large battle its soldiers launched with gunmen to the west of Musil on Wednesday evening.
News reports quoted on Thursday one American officer as saying that some 50 gunmen attacked by bombs and light weapons a position for the American forces to the west of Musil after two attacks in a two booby trapped cars against one base and one patrol, and that the American forces summoned F-14 and F-18 planes to strike the attackers who stationed themselves in al Yarmouk square, and this resulted in killing 25 of them.
The spokesman admitted that 15 soldiers were injured during this battle and six of them were admitted to hospitals, while a statement for the American army announced later that one soldier died of his wounds as a result of the explosion of the two booby trapped cars.
The Musil battle, the third of the Iraqi cities, came after less than 10 days of a suicide attack against one American base in the city that resulted in killing 16 Americans and Ansar al-Sunni group claimed responsibility for it.
In another development, one American military statement said that one C-130 military plane was exposed to an accident as it was landing on Wednesday evening in a military base to the north of Iraq but no one of the 11 passengers was hurt.
